Fun at Eds again, Summer, Mrs Pattersons Podium

So its almost Summer break....WOOHOO! I'm more excited then the kids I swear! I can finally get some stuff done. Miata weather, time off, have fun at Eds breaking fixing things.
All those are reasons why I LOVE SUMMER. Plus I got an intern to help around b-wood. Anyway, awhile back a student decided to put ALL HIS WEIGHT on Mrs Pattersons podium...not the brightest move, but anyway...
It was wobbily anyway, so I took it to eds, and put the "hot gun" to it. About an hour later it was stronger, and had removable wheels (they screw in). You can see pics in the gallery (which one day I will make better I swear!)
While at Eds, we started working on another 356 Porshe, I love these cars but MAN, they always look like swiss-cheese when they get here. The again I guess thats why I love em, I get to fix em and see em leave. This one was bought on ebay I think. Anyway, the guy driving it was a "big boy" and was riding on rust, and driving on credit, I mean MAN, thats insane, I gotta take more pics of the rusted axels and such. But you can see some of em in the gallery.

Staying Cool

Its like 90 degrees outside, rather hot for this time of year. While going to the local wally-world to get a fan, we ran across the PELONIS air evaporator. I was like um...ok, I'll bite. So after reading I realized its basically a swamp cooler, something I had read on lifehacker (its number 3). I got it home and put some water in with some ice packs (it came with some, but i used my own which where cold, i plan to cycle them). It's AMAZING! This thing ROCKS! It was $80, but considering that the fan I was going to buy was $40, NOT BAD! It's worth every red cent...period. Granted its like 4 feet in front of me, but my wife across the room can feel it. The room is around 5 degrees COLDER. It uses the same electricity as any other fan, considering your freezer is on all the time anyway...why not put it to work!
That about sums up my GLOWING review of this product. Now I'm off to chill out....pun INTENDED!

New Phone

I decided to join the rest of the world and actually text people...maybe it would save minutes right? So after about 10 minutes txting peeps I realized I HATE not having a full keyboard, and T9 or whatever they call it is OMG stupid. So...I decided to get a new phone. I can't change services right now for a few reasons, cash being first and for most. Although, let me tell ya, one day...me and verizon...yea that will be beautiful!
Anyhoo. So I got a Samsung Gravity. I love it so far, I found a 2gig MicroSD card for it for like 5 bucks so I'm pretty set I'll let ya know what bugs me about it here, or praise it or anything. As I said, after 1 day of using it, texting on it is Great. The slide action is smooth and life is good. Call quality leaves abit to ask for, as its slightly muffled, but my last phone was like that also, so no surpise there.
Mary is getting the white/blue one, and I have the black/lime one. Here are some pics
